the most beautiful place | Pilipinas kong mahal edition

Growing up in a small town of Sindangan in Zamboanga del Norte, I always looked forward to our occasional holiday trips to Dipolog City, which as a kid was my most beautiful place.

Then sometime in high school, I was sent to Bulacan for a national writing competition. I got to visit Manila and some neighboring cities and towns, although I don’t remember much the experience… except that I was hoping to bump into an artista (movie actor or actress). ;)

After graduating from high school, I left my hometown to pursue a college degree in Cebu City. Getting to study in UP was already a dream come true; besides that, one can understand why I got easily captivated by my new favorite place. Cebu, after all, ranks among the best tourism destinations in the Philippines.

Obviously, I’ve held fast to Cebu being the most beautiful that I’ve refused to leave it for some place. Sure I have visited other places like Dapitan City, Dumaguete City, Bohol, Tagaytay, Puerto Princesa (Palawan), but none other dislodged Cebu from its top spot. I’m going to take more trips but I’ll always go back to my favorite place.

 Panglao Island, Bohol

Island in the Sky, Tagaytay City

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park

And YES, at the end of the day, the place is not as much as the people who have become my reasons to stay. So, where is your most beautiful place? AppreciateTodayClub says, “The most beautiful place is where you let your light shine the most.”  ;)

Have a great, great Today! ;)
